Does anyone spoil their dog, hopefully a little one, by letting them sleep in bed with you? Well, I let Chester since he’s a small one. The only time I wish I could bump him out of bed is when I attempt to roll over during the middle of the night and he is right there smack up against my back and refuses to move. Now, normally I change positions while I sleep and never know it of course. Oh no, sometimes Chester refuses and due to the resistance I actually wake up and have to nudge his little butt to slide over. Even then sometimes he will look at me like, “Wha? Me? Why I have to move?!” Little stink he is.
Last night I had to make such a move and after getting out of the shower this morning I found my dog sleeping and still on the bed. It’s a good thing I love this little furry roommate because last night he was anything but adorable.

Although I’ll actually post this later in the day, I am currently up at 5:15am on Sunday morning. Ah! What?! I’m supposed to be up at this time M-F so I can get ready for work and not be rushed around. Somehow that always manages to slide to 6:00 or even 6:15–oops. On a day where I can sleep in my body decided to wake up. Oh WTH? I went to bed around 11 last night, which is about an hour to hour and a half later than I do on a “school night”, and now I’m up. *sigh* Body clocks, they really do need to know how to cooperate better.

I just had to throw this in. I know most people don’t usually click on links featured in some blogs, yet we all still include them, but this is a touching story. Basically a Western Oregon softball player hit her first homerun in her entire career, but as she was passing first base (missed it) and ran back to tag it she blew out her knee. The wonderful act to follow I am sure has never been done before-that I have heard of-and will never be forgotten by those there that day. Shows that not all people are out for just the win and/or blood.
Now I’m going back to bed.

I made the mistake of letting my sweet little puppy sleep in the bed with me, now he’s a not so little dog, and there’s just no kicking him off. I swear he takes up more of the bed than I do. BUT he’s still super sweet, especially on a Sunday morning when we’re not rushed to get out the door for work.
I often find myself waking up on the tiniest corner of the bed because my dog has sprawled out dead center. It doesn’t please me too much.
Our dog sleeps with us too. It is still cute though. I loved the story, that should have been headline news not stinkin Miley Cyrus. Sheesh!
Hi CurleySue, I finally found your blog!
Whooohooo!
By the way, I knew someone who used to let a large greyhound share the bed.

When I had my dog, i got half the bed and he got the other. He usually would snuggle with me for a while then go sprawl out on his side and stay there all night! He liked to put his head on the extra pillows too!
Maiden: I know, this Sunday we took a nap and he just snuggled with me. Such a sweetheart.
Dutchess: We had a boxer when I was younger and she would literally push you off. It was nuts!
Leucantha: It is still cute no matter what
I agree about the story. I finally saw it on several stations today.
Cara: A greyhound? Uh, mmkay, no way.
Hazel: Thanks for stopping by! I know, he likes to bring all six of his toys onto the bed and try and get up on the extra pillow too. Boy oh boy
Edie always sleeps with me. She likes to cuddle at night.
